2nd Update: I've added the character illustrations. They're located right next to the user's avatar. As of now, I'm still proofreading and working on the illustrations. The next one is a familiar face, but the two after that are ones I haven't drew in a looooong time. I'm talking about a good year at least, within the 14 revealed, so heads up for those.

Also, I'm still debating on whether to show another preview... With the increase in chapters, I can spare one more.
----------------
1st Update: Finally... I FINALLY TYPED ALL THE CHAPTERS!!! :D HOLY CRAP! Man those took a while! A whole FREAKING year! I'll get started on proofreading/editing and I can go full throttle into pictures!

I'll tell you this, the story is a lot longer than I previously planned. Instead of being a 10+ chapter story. It's now a 15+ chapter story. Keep in mind that this is ONLY THE FIRST PART OF THE TRILOGY! Character illustrations are in the works.(For everyone that is listed.) They'll be a little more dynamic than my typical character poses. I'm also working on fixing the body proportions a little, and possibly, adding a little more detail than norm.
---------------
Yeah, I know. I've been talking about this project for a quite a while now. Big Fan Fic, friends as characters, epic juice, yadda yadda and rada rada.

Well, I decided to make a journal dedicated to all possible Fan Fic updates; such as chapters, illustrations, news, music and etc. It would be nice to keep these things organized and all so I don't make these constant journals.

NOTE: Every time I've update something on here, ALL friends with there journals on will receive the notice. So if it begins to grate on your nerves, just ignore it.

News: I'm hit with Writer's Block once again; however, I have great news! One more chapter to go! Then I can begin the proofreading! But to chew some time I've decided to work on some more portraits! They will be up by tomorrow, hopefully. A good twelve of them. I was going for sixteen, but it was a little too much.

Hey everybody! Sorry that I kept myself quiet on this place for a while. Been busy and all that, college and this fan fic.

My grades are still looking solid, but man, college can wear a guy out at times. :P Sometimes it's great take a break and relax sometimes. How do I relax? Exercise, Playing video games, Fan fic and drawing.

Let's talk about the games. Right now I'm playing Sonic and the Black Knight. If you want my opinion on the game, here's a link: [link] I highly recommend it. Sword and all, it's pretty good. I'm planning on buying MadWorld pretty soon, DEFINITELY PUNCH-OUT!!, and I'm thinking about the Conduit and ExciteBots.

As for my fan fic. Good News, I only have two more chapters to type! :P Now, that doesn't mean that I am out of the woods yet. I'll have to revise them, illustrate the characters, bosses, and scenery and find suitable optional music. I've still have a good amount of work on it to do, but it's worth it. Hell, it's fun to be honest.

I'm definitely keeping the Portraits alive. When I need a break from the fan fic. I might resume where I left off soon. :)

So yeah, that's a little about me at the moment. Shoot the breeze and have fun. :)

Also, I'm open to any questions about the fan fic (Except if you're in it!:P), or just anything that's floating around. :P
So ask away!

We just got 2009'd!

Yeah. I know that I'm late for the show, but still better late than never. Happy New Year everybody! I have a very good feeling about ths year. Yeah 2008 had some rough goings but 2009 might make things all the sweeter.(Except goverment issues. Even with Obama taking charge, nothing won't be fixed in a year in that department.)

My New Year's Resolutions? Well, I'm glad that I have my weight under control a la 2008, now I just want to be more diligent. More focus. I have a serious issue with procrastination, as a college student, this HAVE to change! I need to think of a more effective college schedule. Last semester, I passed all classes by the skin of my teeth. I don't want this to happen again. I'll be a rock this time.

Not to mention that I didn't finish typing the fan fic at the end of the year like a planned. I'm going to finish it, but I'll definetely get to work on it whenever I can.

Also, I'm planning on getting a job this year. My mom and dad are taking care of my rent and car payments and it really draining them dry. I know that they only want to see me succeed, but I want them to be able to enjoy themselves.

I also want to save a small portion of my profit to save up for a xbox 360. I really want my library outside of just Wii and DS. I'm going for standard of elite. Better to get all of the extra stuff out of the way IMO.

Also. Since it's a new year. I'll also give you a quick list of games I'm looking forward to this year. These are games that were offically announced and shown to the public. Man, 2009 is looking really good at the moment. (These are not all wii and DS games. Although it's good to see strong wii support. And Nintendo not just milking the Mario and Zelda series to the bone.)

+The Conduit(High Voltage Software:Wii)- I've been waiting to play a kickass shooter on the wii that isn't another WWII game. While I do like Call of Duty, the Conduit is definetely more down my alley. The sci-fi setting, "All seeing Eye" puzzle device, possibly 16-man online(Wii Speak enabled.), Wii motion Plus eabled and the fact that is game is made by a every dedicated team. I can't wait for this baby to came out.

+MadWorld(Platinum Games:Wii)- I love Sin City. Frank Miller is a genius. And the dudes from platinum games(formerly Clover Studios.) agree as well. Mad World is a game where a group of terrorist takes over a city and forces everyone to kill each other for a $100,000,000,000 prize. You play as Jack, just Jack, as you beat up anyone competing against you in some of of most loose and stylized gore fest I've ever seen in a game!

+House of the Dead: Overkill (Headstrong:Wii)-I also liked Grindhouse. House of the Dead: Overkill takes place before th break out cause by Papa Ceaser. The overall graphic style, storyline, and dialog reeks of overactive b-rated Zombie movie goodness. It's a on-rails shooter, true to the franchise, and provides co-op and dual wield mode via two wii-motes.

+Sonic and the Black Knight(Sonic Team:Wii) - Man. Sega is on a roll with publishing Wii games. Sonic and the Black Knight is no exception! As a title in the Sonic Storybook Series, Sonic is transfered into another storybook of Arthurian Legend. Yes, we wields a sword this time (Give people a couple of seconds to yell what all the games this game seems to automaticly 'rip-off' because Sonic's only holding a sword.) Done? Good. Anyway Sonic does wield a sword, but as wierd as it looks, the sword could be what FLUDD was to Mario Sushine: WTF sauce but fun! I honestly can't wait.

+Deadly Creatures(THQ: Wii)- I've already mention that I still have my eye on this game. Hears a link to one of my preivous journals. :)

+Spyborgs(Bionic Games: Wii)- I still don't care what anyone says, I believe that this game had serious potential from the first trailer, even though it's recieving a overhaul,I'm still certain about that it will. Said to have a 2009 late 2009 release, I'm looking forward to it.

+Punch-Out!! Wii(Next level Games)-It's been years Little Mac... So many years, but now we'll get to punch extremely cartoony boxer faces in once again. This time, it'll be more in depth than the preivous Punch-Out titles and is said to have much more boxers to go up against. Not to mention that the mechanics are nearly the same as they ever been. Freakin' Sweet if you ask me! I couldn't see this game playing like Fight Night or Facebreaker.

+Mario and Luigi 3(Alpha Dream: DS)- This awesome RPG Mario Spin-off is back once again! And now it's Fawful's turn to show everyone that he still has much fury to prove that he is indeed the mustard of your DOOM!!!XD Also, it looks slghtly improve in that graphic style that oil paint art style that I admire a LOT! Plus Bowser is playable this time. He'll he team up with Mario (once again...) this time around? Maybe. It could be like Paper Mario 2.

+Damnation(Codemasters: PC,PS3,X360)- Now this title has hidden gem written all over it. I bet most of your haven't even heard of this title. :P Well, it's a third person shooter with a huge look into vertical terrains. You can shoot from literally anywhere in the game, and where your character is located play a huge part your success. Tired of that one Sniper Pissing you off all the time. Use a techinque called "Spirit Sight" to located anyone hiding at any level. So I expecting extremely fast and frantic gameplay from this game.

Street fighter IV(Capcom: PC, PS3, X360[NO WII?! WTF?!]) I don't even need to explain this. it's street fighter, coming back from a long coma. Now it's bak and looking better thn ever. it just hope it isn't TOO simplified. I did see some videos showing projectile spamming.

Other titles. (Titles that are either not coming out in 2009, TBA, or I got tired of making descriptions.)
+Sin and punishment 2
+Blood of Bahamut
+Kingdom Hearts 385/2 Days
+Final Fantasy XIII
+Star Ocean: The Last Hope
+BioShock 2
+No More Heroes 2
+Bionic Commando
+Curse Mountain
+Final Fantasy Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers( I'm still waiting, Square Enix.)
+ Tatsunoko vs. Capcom(Hopefully, Capcom can bring it over. They're trying though.)
+Kirby Wii(ITZ NOT DED! JUT SLEEPIN!1 K THAX!)
+ and much more....

And I that this is a sappy ending but I'll like to thank everyone for being great friends over the years. I mean every word when I say that you guys are truly awesome. And here's to a great year and beyond for all of us. :)

Also, My gate in City Folk will be open today and tomorrow around 7pm US eastern until 9pm. Nook is closed today, sorry. :P Afterwards. If you want to get online with me on Animal Crossing City Folk, Wii Speak Channel, or whatever, just say the word. :)

Deadly Creatures- Heard of it?

Okay. Have ANYONE on here heard of Deadly Creatures? A new Wii IP coming out later this year?

Seriously, I'm very nervous that people will miss this game by a long shot. It seems to provide a good amount of action, plus a great sense of adventure. The graphics won't win any awards, but I don't see that as a big issue honestly. As long as the gameplay supplies.

The story is simple. You play as a scorpion or a tarantula. Nothing special, just a scorpion or tarantula. As you travel through the desert, you also run into a supicious group of people who are traveling through the desert, doing things well... SUPICIOUSLY! Like constantly digging holes in the desert, looking for something... or someone.

The tarantula and the scorpion aren't friends, mind you. They will run into each other multiple times, will to tear each other apart.

Now as you crawl through multiple locations of a very dry and vacant desert, (Somewhere in Arizona, I believe.) You defend yourself from multiple threats such as lizards, snakes, wasps and etc. But this is not national geographic where you will sit and wait to strike all day. No, you fight all of these threats head on with very strong hard hitting moves. Yeah, the fight scenes aren't realistic, but that seem to be a good choice to keep the player interested.

Instead of describing how brutal the fighting moves are, just watch these videos.

Trailer: [link]

Honestly. I think it's looking very impressive. It may not be my game of the year, but I see it a having a lot of potential to be a good franchise. But it has "sleeper hit" written all over it. How many people are going to go crazy knowning that you can play as octopods?

Why is it that people are extremely quick to judge others with a stereotypical view? Even if it’s not intended, it still seems to occur. White people favor being around white people more, black people favor being around black people and so on. The same can be said about gender and appearances. While opinions are not as extreme as they were in the past, they still have an effect on others and can from anyone. In the article, Journal of Black Studies: The Impact of Race, Physical Attractiveness, and Gender on Education Majors and Teacher Perceptions of Student Competence, authors, Felicia R. Parks and Janice H. Kennedy conduct this experiment to see if this occurs at school between teachers and students. The result were proven true but I do question how the methods and procedures.
The method used was simple: For eight to twelve minutes, seventy two individuals had take a survey on which they prefer to trust and believe would succeed in life. What they had to do was look at look at eight different photographs of ten year-old elementary students. Each was label by race, gender, and appearance. Once they see the picture, they were to rate them on a five point scale. Then time is called and everyone would be one their way.
Well the results went through and the highest rated were the young white and attractive girls. The lowest rated were the unattractive black boys. Overall, the groups voted to be least successful were the unattractive black boys and girls. Keep in mind that none of the individuals were consider prejudice in anyway. It was a simple procedure, but there seem to be some loose ends.
I’ll break down the number of participants a little more. There were seventy-two people involved the experiment. Of the seventy-two, fifty-seven were women and fourteen male. (There’s a misprint somewhere in there, but it was the information provided.), 85% of the participants were white while 15% were black, and fifty-one were teachers while twenty-one were students. I can see that the uneven number of people would have probably affected the results, but I believe that an even amount of people would have benefit a lot better. It would have shown better results because the opinions would be a little more even by organizing the crowd by race and gender only. (Choosing by appearance would cause conflict.) It would be way more organized.
Also, I believe that the time span was a little too long. People today do not want to offend others with opinions that could be seen as prejudice. So for all the authors know, some of them probably change their regular answers under pressure. A good five second time span for each picture should be all that everyone needs to look at it and record what they think of it. It’s a natural reaction to what you believe is successful or not.
Ms. Felicia R. Parks and Ms. Janice H. Kennedy did keep track of more than their experiment research. They record work from previous experiments from people such as Dion, Berscheid and Walster from 1972; Gollub and Sloan from 1978; and etc. Each past experiment cover and certain point of their experiment. For example, the 1972 experiment was the one that proved that teachers would show favoritism to students of the race, gender and appearance. This was later proven true in their studies of other experiments that occurred at a later time. So it is safe to say that is a fact. Now it would have been a little better if they would have went a little more in-depth with explaining the experiments. All they seem to do is give credit to the people who conducted the experiments and stay what the study proves. They did not really provide any explanation of the previous procedures.
So what I seen form this study, Felicia R. Parks and Janice H. Kennedy were able to prove that favoritism does exist within schools. The overall experiment and their research of the overall subject were very extensive. This could benefit students very well, by picking teachers that can give them more of a chance by physical appearance alone. As it was stated in the experiment,” When the bias is positive, students may benefit from the exceptional expectations placed on them. However, when the biases are negative, students’ behavior may become entangled in an ongoing spiral where less is expected of them and less is produced by them.” Encouraging the students can benefit better and allow them to work harder in their studies than neglecting them.

To finally round this up, I believe that the experiment was a success. However, it could have been handled better with a more evenly diverse team of people for the experiment, and giving them a shorter amount of time would not allow them that much time to think about their decisions and work strictly on reactions. This would provide more accurate data on the bias.
