For someone to secretly put in so much effort into gifts for others not only demonstrates a willingness for personal sacrifice for the sake of others, but also comes off as a remarkable surprise. Not only did I not expect anything like this, but it's also so well done in its own right that such a self portrait is made even more memorable. ^_^

You've created a very unique take on my character design that's stands out above the rest with a nice blend of fandom, originality, and actual personality incorporation. The half Toad, half human hybridisation is a fantastic portrayal of the dual identity that all Internet users bear (including myself, obviously ); ironically enough, it's always the way I've pictured my alter ego myself. Rigid and harsh colouring generates a sense of reality and the hardships tied to that, much akin to the style used for the Mario Strikers artworks, whilst maintaining all key factors like depth and perspective.

Gotta love the UnityBrush power though; it suits my actual perception across various Internet communities, and indeed real life, rather nicely. Headphones, goggles, and the "Toad" inscribing are all excellent touches that add "that little bit more" to this piece. Above all else, there's attitude and personality here, with you taking a very different approach to the average Nintendo artwork. In consequence, it creates a very personal image that only the recipient can truly appreciate, which is frankly the entire purpose of such gifts, and something you have done marvelously.

A few things you might want to look out for in the future though. Most notable on the front jacket and the hands, areas where there are a lot of defined boundaries have become smudged with the nearby black or lineart; a frequent problem with pencil work. (Trust me, I know! >_< The long hair also seems to cover the left eye a little too much, making it difficult to distinguish between the two features.

Summing up though, I am very grateful for this contribution you've created, and it will be something I will cherish for a long time to come. Heck, I've already made it my new avatar on most forums; I've had my old one for a LONG time now. It's an excellent piece, so thank you once again.
